Projects Team wins Safety Excellence Award from TATA Solar Power

Our Projects Division bagged an order for 30Mwe Solar Power Evacuation from TATA BP Solar, which was for 220/33KV power evacuation for their end-customer’s existing Aluminium Smelter Plant at the Lapanga village, in Orissa.

The scope of work included supply, installation testing and commissioning of one 31.5 MVA Power Transformer of 220/33KV, with a hybrid 220KV Pass Breaker of ABB, allied switchgear and associated equipment.

The work was required to be done in the existing working system of the customer in the shortest possible time by availing short downs. The Projects team completed the work to the satisfaction of the end-customer, with zero incidents, and utilised proper safety measures at all times during the work, and charged the new system of evacuation of power.

As a mark of our exceptional work, TATA BP Solar presented us with an excellence award for demonstrating high level of safety while carrying out the work at the Lapanga site.
