Bharat Bijlee is now ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 certified

Bharat Bijlee has been ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certified in December 2014.

Both these management system will help us achieve organization’s objectives to inculcate safety culture among the employees thereby promoting accident free workplace and to protect the environment within which we operate.

Bharat Bijlee started the process for implementation of EOHS management systems in December 2013. In October 2014, Stage-I audit was completed and it recommended Certification Audit within 3 months. All documentation and implementation of processes were completed within record time. To cultivate a safety culture within organization, a continuous learning and development program was conducted. In December 2014, after a rigorous auditing process, including site visit, documentation and process inspection, a three member Certification Audit team from DNV-GL recommended certification of both management systems for Bharat Bijlee.

The award ceremony was held on 10th March 2015 where in Mr. Nakul Mehta, Vice Chairman & Managing Director received the certificates from Mr. Prakash Tikare, DNV- GL Country Chair for India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Mr. Joher Jerwalla, DNV Head - Product Certificate and Inspection.
