In April, we participated in the 6th National Safety Practice competition organised by CII-IQ (Confederation of Indian Industry - Institute of Quality). The competition, held virtually this year, aims to entrench safety practices in organisations, helping create a culture of safety.
Our Environmental Health and Safety (EOHS) team was the first runners-up category in the Manufacturing-Discrete category.
The theme of the contest this year was “Excellence in Workplace Safety”. Our presentation titled, “Elimination of potential hazards associated with the usage and storage of oxy-acetylene cylinders” was considered innovative by the jury, as it eliminates major hazards associated with the brazing operation in the shopfloor.
We were also happy to note the jury’s appreciation of our safety culture and commitment towards ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
