Our participation in Utthan 2025

This month, we participated in Utthan 2025 – a technical summit for the Indian Elevator Industry, which focused on spreading awareness on the new standards by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) effective from December 2025. We were Sliver sponsors at the event, which was organised by AILUF (All India Lift Upliftment Federation) and GEIA (Gujarat Elevator Industrial Association) in Ahmedabad.

The summit specifically focused on the BIS 17900 standard - India's comprehensive new elevator and escalator safety standard, replacing older codes like IS 14665, aligning with global norms (ISO 8100), and focusing on enhanced passenger/technician safety.

Our presentation, focusing on our GreenStar® range, highlighted its compliance to the new BIS standards, and garnered appreciation from the audience. Over 200 visitors, including elevator and elevator component manufacturers, attended this important technical summit.
